The Cyber Spring

Update on my grandfather Cliff:

He’s still in the hospital but is out of ICU. They are going to be transferring him to a rehab facility in the next few days to see if they can get his left side working again. They are changing up his blood thinner in hopes that no more clots form that cause the strokes. Grandma said this morning he woke up very weak and isn’t doing well. That is a sign that he may have had another TIA stroke. Please pray that God’s will be donw. Please pray for the Dr.’s and the nurses taking care of him because he’s a handful. Please pray for my grandma’s strength because she’s absolutely exhausted.

Please join me in praying for Dustin and Julia today. Dustin is attending The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and has new student orientation today. Julia begins substitute teaching today. Lots of change, even more potential, and ultimately they serve a mighty God who loves them even more than we do.

Please join me in praying for Jon Speed as he participates in an LDS dialogue/debate at UNT from 6:30-8:30pm. Pray for the Gospel to go forth and for Christ to be magnified. Pray for many to come to repentance and faith in the Christ of the scriptures, our only redeemer.

Michael Marcavage is headed to court with Ken Fleck and Mike Stockwell to stand trial this morning for preaching outside Philly’s largest mosque last month while Muslims worldwide prepare to celebrate “Ramadan,” which starts tomorrow. Please pray for justice.

Update for Andrew’s fight with cancer (Wayne works with Andrew’s mother)
Andrew has had several setbacks during the last couple of months. He has had very aggresive treatments but has had 4 tumors in the last 11 months. Seeking another opinion, Andrew was tested at M.D. Anderson. The doctors have reviewed Andrew’s case and have recommended a new treatment plan.

“Mahria Miano is asking all her friends to pray for Amanda who is having all four of her wisdom teeth out today. The surgery is scheduled for 10 PST. We will be leaving in about 25 mins.”

1. I found out last night that one of our neighbors was in a car wreck this week with her grandson in the car. Corbin who is 3 is now in CPS custody because Emily the grandmother was intoxicated at the time of the wreck. She’s in the hospital and will recover completely. She and her husband Ken have been raising Corbin since he was born and they will not give Ken any information on where he is because he is not a blood relative. Please pray for God’s will to be done and that this be a wake up call for Emily with her addiction. Please pray for us as neighbors to be supportive and be bold in sharing the gospel.

2. My friend Keely called me this morning and she is at the hospital with her mother, Denise who has been admitted with 4 blood clots between her brain, heart and jugular vein. They are trying to get the clots to break up through medication but it’s not working. As of right now her heart is in great distress and they are waiting on the cardiologist to come in. Please pray that God’s will be done and peace for the family.

Pray for my niece Trista as she is in the O/R now for emergency appendectomy. She is 18 and really scared.

UPDATE: Trista came through surgery ok and is resting. She will probably get to go home tomorrow. Thank you for your prayers.
