Prayer need- coworker’s son

A co-worker’s 29 year old son, Andrew,  just had a tumor removed from his spine.  He begins physical therapy and radiation therapy next week.  The radiation treatments are scheduled to continue for a total of five weeks.  Please pray for Andrew, his family, and the medical professionals that will care for Andrew.

Andrew and his family have faithfully turned to God during this stressful time and trust in His love.

Update- A month or so back, I asked for prayer for a co-worker’s son, Andrew.  Andrew had been diagnosed with having tumors along his spine.  This treatment went well and all was believed to ok. However, this week they discovered a tumor on his forehead.  This tumor was diagnosed to also be malignant and it grew very fast.  Please Pray for Andrew and his family as they make treatment choices.  Pray for his doctors and for Andrew to be comforted during this time.

LATEST UPDATE: The report yesterday on Andrew’s bone marrow biopsy was not what we had hoped for. After 4 rounds of the oral chemo, he is not in remission. The stem cell transplant is now on hold…….he is scheduled for the insertion of a portacath on Monday and will then be admitted to Methodist for 4 days of a more aggressive IV chemotherapy – after 3 cycles (approx 3 months)of the chemo, he will then have another bone marrow biopsy to assess his status….

He will lose his hair and will feel bad, but we know this has to happen to get where he needs to be – he is frightened and so disappointed – we are asking for your continued prayers for all of us and that you place him on your church prayer list, if possible.

Please keep praying…..
